I need an anti-malware program, am i suppose to look for a antivirus program?
I use a Mac and also have a PC, i've been running into the word "malware" a lot. Do they have programs that are anti-malware as in the title, or am i suppose to pick up an anti-virus program, and the anti-malware is included? thanks oh and can anyone suggest a reliable software? thanks again.

- If you're willing to pay, go for something like AVG, Norton or Kaspersky. For strictly Anti-malware, go with MBAM, or it's formal name: MalwareBytes. All of which are very reliable and some of the best on the web.

- Malware is a catch-all phrase for viruses, spyware and adware. At best these items affect performance of your computer, at worst they steal personal information and/or can render your computer unusable. I find most experts suggest that you get an anti-virus program and and an anti-spyware program. A good free antivirus is Avira, with Avast and AVG also being good ones. A good free anti-spyware is Malwarebytes, with SuperAntiSpyware and Spy-Bot being good ones. You really have to have a good anti-virus. Your surfing habits will dictate how prone you are to malware.
- For the PC, you should have an anti-virus program running at the very least. Anti-malware programs are also available if you feel the need but if you're careful about what you download and where you download from, you won't really need one. A good anti-virus program will usually catch malware programs, as well as worms, viruses, trojan horses & such. Hope this helps.
