how do i get rid of a virus and what s a good spyware removal that's free?

my computer is infected with a virus i think.. this win spy killer site keeps constantly popping up for the last 2 days and i mean constantly like every 5 seconds.. i have all this other stuff popping up to and my computer has been acting very slow. what can i do? is there any free down-loadable spyware removals that are good and legit

2. You can download spy ware removers like spyware termnator etc but you shoul go for a trial version of AVG Antispyware from www.avg.com
3. Try Panda Internet Security 2008. Its not free but U can use the trial version and erase the viruses or spyware
4. hi - bad news :( I have also been infected heaps of times, isn't the net wonderful :) anyway, here is what i would try: step 1. back up your really important files to a flash drive or even an external hard drive. Sometimes removing spyware/viruses will mean the computer wont boot anyway. :( step 2. use the free eset online virus scanner. available at http://www.eset.com/onlinescan/ If you are using vista, you have to run Internet explorer in admin mode. right click the 'Internet explorer' icon, and say run as administrator. Then you can use the eset scanner. step 3. for spyware i would use 'spyware doctor' from the free google pack, available at the google website. just click 'more'---> then 'more'. good luck !
