How to get rid of "Windows security Alerts?"?
I think I'm infected with a very nasty virus. The process is called "wscscv32.exe", it looks like windows security center, but it says i don't have any virus scanners installed. It pops up every second in my toolbar in the right corner of the screen, looking like a Security center-icon, and next to it is a red cross. If i click on the red cross, it starts an installer, that is installing a program called AntiMalware. The security center-logo keeps saying things like: Defenseless OS : Windows 2000/XP/Vista, Description: Spyware. Blocks access to computer, or: Spyware, tries to steal bank accounts, etc etc. And: there are some serious threats detected on your computer: viruses, trojans, keyloggers etc. etc. Protection: Click balloon to install antivirus-software It also pops up saying: Do you want to block this suspicious software? Name: Backdoor.Win32.Agent.ich (It says all kinds of virus names!!) Risk: High Risk Description (Always different) This trojan provides a remote malicious user with access to the vitcim machine. It is a Windows PE EXE file. it is 408654 bytes in size. (And stuff like that) How do i get rid of this annoying infection?? Please answer!!!!! Mail to: tadehogenelst@hotmail.com Thanks!

- If you have Win XP, turn System Restore off. Click Start, right-click My Computer, and then click Properties. In the System Properties dialog box, click the System Restore tab. Click to select the Turn off System Restore check box. Or, click to select the Turn off System Restore on all drives check box. Click OK. Click Yes to confirm that you want to turn off System Restore. Download, install, update and run full scans, in SAFE MODE*, with these programs... http://www.malwarebytes.org http://www.superantispyware.com Then re-start (turn System Restore on). Click Start, right-click My Computer, and then click Properties. In the System Properties dialog box, click the System Restore tab. Click to clear the Turn off System Restore check box. Or, click the Turn off System Restore on all drives check box. Click OK. If you can't run a scan, go into the scanner's folder and re-name the .exe file to something like 'MyFile.exe' and try in safe mode again. Some malware prevent the execution of anti spy/mal/virus scans by blocking them by name. You should consider getting a good Anti-Virus program. Try one of these free ones... http://www.avast.com/eng/download-avast-home.html http://www.free-av.com/en/download/1/avira_antivir_personal__free_antivirus.html (Avria) http://free.avg.com/download ***Never use more than one anti-virus program at any one time*** *Note: On start up (before Windows loads) keep tapping either F5 or F8 (be aware that some manufacturers use F8 for system recovery!) then use arrow keys to highlight 'Safe Mode with networking' click on a user account, enter the password (if you don't know it, there probably isn't one so leave it blank) and hit enter/return.
- first of all install and scan your computer with good antivirus like superantispyware, Norton, Mcafee,AVIRA , AVG etc follow these steps 1.Make sure your operating system's built-in security is up to date by visiting windowsupdate.microsoft.com. The easiest way to remove many fake Windows security alerts is to simply make sure your real security settings are fully updated; with the latest version of Windows, many fake alerts will be automatically stopped dead in their tracks. 2.Visit safety.live.com to scan your computer using Microsoft's online "Windows Live OneCare Safety Scanner," as recommended by Microsoft as another way to remove fake Windows security alerts. 3.Download Lavasoft's free Ad-Aware software and perform a System Scan if the first two steps do not correct the problem. This software provides further protection against unwanted PC pop-ups and adware--including fake Windows security alerts. 4.Download AVG free Antivirus software if Ad-Aware does not remove the fake alert. If the other methods don't work, the fake alert is much more than an annoying pop-up; it is likely a viral file that will be difficult to remove without antivirus software. A full scan with AVG's software will purge your system of viruses responsible for the malicious fake security alerts. 5.Call 08006359644 or visit..http://www.iyogi.co.uk/ if you are still experiencing fake Windows security alerts. If none of the security measures has worked, your computer might have a very serious, hard-to-remove infection, and it's best to get the most up-to-date advice from Microsoft concerning your security breach. This support line is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week; call immediately, before the problem gets worse.
