- windows has one installed already, start , run, type mrt in the pane. this will run a malware removal tool.
- system restore? or recovery? or maybe using free software? i recommend at least having avast anti virus or avira anti virus avast is better because it has real time protection. malware bytes anti malware or spybot search and destroy and a firewall which you might wanna try commodo firewall or something. google is your friend. and with the right combination of free programs they will be as good as expensive ones. if you need more help i recommend asking the geeks at live.pirillo.com (an IM chat room) they will be more than happy to help.
- Get AVAST virus protection. It's free, and will scan your computer and remove those nasty viruses and adware. http://www.avast.com/eng/download-avast-home.html
- Well load some free ones!!
- you cant beleive this one.! I had the same thing going on with my puter and guess who i brought it too? STAPLES. yes and they fixed it and it was not expensive at all. and there are a million STAPLES stores around. thanks
- Hi You don't need software to remove software. For Vista: Click on the Start button on your task bar (big round circle with flag in it) Click on Control Panel Under Programs click Uninstall Programs Let the list populate so you will see all of your programs Click on the software you want to delete For XP look up Add/Remove Programs in your Control Panel. My advice is for you to download an anti-virus program to keep viruses at bay. Cookies will be on your PC every time you go to the internet unless you disable cookies, but when you disable cookies some sites you can't use. To keep your pc clean, you have two utilities you should run once a week or so depending on how much you use the internet - Disk Cleanup and Disk Defragmenter - they are under System Tools. When using Disk Cleanup check all boxes. Before running Disk Defrag turn off your Screensaver because it will make DD run longer because the Screensaver makes it restart. Clean out the recycle bin often. It will be difficult to clean up malware and viruses by yourself. The file pieces are attached to other needed things in your PC and you don't want to risk deleting a system file. Do a search for "Free Anti-Virus". You will find a few of them. The most popular is AVG Free and Avast. Purchasing one is a good idea. You will have to renew once a year. Good Luck.
- Spyware/Malware removal tools. These three are probably the best and all are free. Adaware http://www.download.com/Ad-Aware-SE-Personal-Edition/3000-8022_4-10045910.html?part=dl-ad-aware&subj=dl&tag=top5 Spybot S&D http://www.download.com/Spybot-Search-Destroy/3000-8022-10122137.html?part=dl-spybot&subj=dl&tag=but Malwarebytes http://www.malwarebytes.org/
- Windows has one but does not monitor continually. Use ad-ware
