spyware removal?

have just downloaded a free version of spyware doctor, i ran a scan and found some spyware called Downloader.PopCap. the problem is that i am unable to remove it without buying the full version of spyware doctor. what i wanted to know is if i can remove it myself without buying the full version or is there any other good spyware removal programs that will do this for free?

4. a lot of paid for antispyware ALWAYS find problems on your pc so you will buy their product, get adaware(lavasoft), & spybot also go to an online virus checker (norton, panda, or kaspersky) as these often pick up spyware
5. Spybot and ad-aware are Perfect solutions. Spybot is most effective when used fully. IE: Immunize.
6. The free Spyware Doctor Starter Edition is a full-function (not a trial) version of the paid version; same scanning engine, same removal. It's just lacking some of the real-time protection of the paid version. 7. Downloader.PopCap is not that bad. It is installed to download popcap games-which can be loaded with some on yahoo (popcap is a software game making company). My Downloader.PopCap is always removed with my Norton so it takes longer to start popcap games than it use to. I agree that spybot search and destroy is great free software that will clean your system. Another good program to have is Adaware by lavasoft. The Lavasoft has a free version that will clean your system- they want you to buy their advanced version that offers real time protection, but the free on does a great job at fixing problems. 8. Download TROJAN REMOVER from www.simplysup.com. The program will fix everything it finds and searches for rootkit, hidden files and running processes as well as known malware. It is free for 30 days - just do a scan and follow the instructions.
9. Spyware doctor is included in the google pack, http://www.pack.google.com and this edition includes the ability to delete viruses or spyware that it finds. It can't hurt. Also if you still dont feel fully safe, some other good antivirus programs are ad aware, mcafee free from aol, spybot s&d, superantispyware, threatfire, norton security scan (included also in google pack), and windows defender. Another program that you might like is startup inspector for windows.
